Become an active part of our community, experience cultural diversity, develop new skills, engage in the University community and become a leader while studying at Capilano U.

At the International Leadership and Mentorship Program, we believe that every person can tap into their leadership potential. Our goal is to create a dynamic, supportive and inclusive community where students can:

CONNECT with each other, faculty and staff on campus, student groups, clubs and departments on campus, community organizations in our community. Expand your social and professional network.

LEARN  from one another about Canada and 57+ countries that are represented at Cap. Develop hands-on skills in mentorship, event planning, public speaking, event promotion, social media, team coordination and teamwork, leadership, cross cultural communication. Learn learn about University processes and various other engagement opportunities. Learn about yourself. Gain hands-on experience through leadership and mentorship, volunteerism and community giving.

GROW as an individual, community member, learner, and future professional by developing and applying practical skills.

LEAD a team of fellow Mentors. Lead the organization of an event or an activity. Lead new international students through the process of transition to Cap. Many new international students take advantage of leadership opportunities by becoming a mentor in the future semesters.
